Array Networks Launches 5th Generation Application Delivery Controller with Up to 300% Performance Improvement
Array Networks has announced the launch of its 5th generation hardware appliances for entry-level and mid-range Application Delivery Controllers (ADC), including models APV1600, 2600, and 3600. These new models deliver up to 300% performance improvement at the same price point. The new hardware comes bundled with the latest software version 8.6, with performance enhancements as follows:
APV 1600: Layer-4 and Layer-7 throughput increased by 50%, achieving overall throughput of 3.7Gbps and 3Gbps respectively. Layer-4 connections per second increased by 300%, supporting up to 280,000 connections per second. Layer-7 requests per second doubled, supporting up to 200,000 requests per second. APV 2600: Layer-4 and Layer-7 throughput increased by 100%, achieving overall throughput of 18Gbps and 13Gbps respectively. Layer-4 connections per second increased by 50%, supporting up to 360,000 connections per second. Layer-7 requests per second doubled, supporting up to 200,000 requests per second. APV 3600: Layer-4 throughput increased by 100%, achieving overall throughput of 37Gbps. Layer-4 connections per second increased by 33%, supporting up to 1,000,000 connections per second. Layer-7 requests per second increased by 20%, supporting up to 635,000 requests per second. SSL transactions per second (TPS) increased by 40%.
