Forescout Releases Version 8.2 with New Capabilities and Public Cloud Support

Forescout 8.2 is now Generally Available (GA), and existing users can upgrade immediately. Key highlights of version 8.2 include: 1. Redesigned User Interface
The Compliance Dashboard has been completely redesigned to provide comprehensive visibility into all connected devices, with capabilities such as: Displaying detailed device information including function, OS, and model Identifying high-risk devices, such as: IoT devices with weak passwords Open ports within the network Unpatched Windows systems Unauthorized software installations Operational Technology (OT) devices with vulnerabilities based on CVE databases Advanced search across environments including campus, data center, cloud, and OT Flexible filtering based on policy, network segment, or device properties 2. Introduction of eyeExtend Connect App Ecosystem
Previously, Forescout offered pre-built eyeExtend modules that enabled integration with over 25 vendors. With version 8.2, Forescout introduces the eyeExtend Connect App Ecosystem, allowing administrators and third-party vendors to develop their own applications for system integration. This enables: Seamless data exchange, Automated workflows or faster orchestration across systems. Key features include: Support for Python development and JSON-based data exchange for rapid application development Compatibility with REST and SOAP APIs Introduction of community-built apps, with plans to evolve into an App Store model in the future 3. Public Cloud Support
Previously, Forescout could only be deployed as a physical appliance or virtual appliance (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM). With version 8.2, it now supports deployment on public cloud platforms, including: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. It also supports hybrid deployment models, enabling flexible infrastructure strategies.
