Supermicro Achieves Official Certification for Broad Compatibility with Oracle Solutions
Supermicro, a Gold member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), has announced official support for a wide range of Oracle solutions. A large number of Supermicro servers have successfully passed compatibility testing, providing enterprises with a cost-effective hardware option for deploying Oracle solutions.
The compatibility testing between software and hardware included validation of Oracle Linux 7.6/7.7 with the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel, as well as Oracle VM Server 3.4 for x86 architectures. These were tested across multiple Supermicro server families, including: Ultra, TwinPro, FatTwinand 4-way / 8-way MP Servers. All testing followed Oracle’s official guidelines, ensuring that enterprises can confidently deploy cloud, virtualization, and enterprise database applications from Oracle on Supermicro platforms. These systems are now officially listed on Oracle’s Hardware Compatibility List (HCL).
The certified Supermicro servers support 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, enabling the use of Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory to accelerate performance for large-scale data processing and database workloads. Additionally, these systems support: Up to 28-core CPUs and Memory speeds of up to 2933 MHz
