ALICE Supercomputer เลือกใช้ Panasas Storage สำหรับงาน High Performance Computing
Panasas ผู้ผลิตระบบ High Performance Parallel Storage ได้รับหน้าที่ในการวางระบบ Storage สำหรับโครงการ Supercomputer ที่ University of Leicester ในชื่อ Advanced Leicester Information and Computational Environment (ALICE) โดยมีบทบาทหลักๆ ในการรับมือกับ Big Data ของงานประมวลผลต่างๆ ของทางมหาวิทยาลัย ด้วยการใช้ ActiveStor ซึ่งเป็น Storage ประสิทธิภาพสูงจากทาง Panasas เอง ควบคู่กับ PanFS ซึ่งเป็น OS พร้อม Parallel File System ของ Panasas และจัดได้ว่าเป็นหนึ่งในต้นแบบของ pNFS ในอนาคตอีกด้วย Read more
