Supermicro has introduced the TwinPro Server, a 1U server enclosure that houses two server nodes within a single chassis. Both nodes are hot-swappable, allowing organizations to reduce data center space usage by up to 50%. Each server node includes the following specifications:
- Supports dual Intel E5-2600 v3 processors
- Supports up to 1TB DDR4 RAM
- Equipped with 4 hot-swappable 2.5 inch drive bays supporting both SATA and SAS, with options for no RAID, software RAID, or hardware RAID
- Includes SATA DOM for OS/Hypervisor installation without consuming drive bays
- Provides one PCI-E 3.0 x16 low-profile slot and one additional 0-slot expansion
- Network interfaces support 1/10GbE, 40GbE/100GbE, and 56Gbps InfiniBand
- Hardware-level management with remote KVM via IPMI 2.0
- Equipped with redundant power supply with up to 96% efficiency
