Enterasys Networks Receives Progressive Manufacturing Award

Company selected for Innovative Sales & Operations Process (S&OP)

Andover, MA — Mar 15, 2011 – Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications company, today announced it is a winner of the seventh annual Progressive Manufacturing Awards (PM100) for its collaborative S&OP process.  Selected by the publishers of Managing Automation and an independent panel of industry experts, the PM100 awards recognize best-in-class manufacturing companies that have achieved competitive advantage and transformed their business through the innovative use of technology.

Enterasys Networks designed and developed a fully automated global S&OP process that links an integrated set of IT tools that include Salesforce.com for sales pipeline information and BigMachines for detailed project quotes that feeds the S&OP automation solution provided by Steelwedge.  The PM100 award recognizes Enterasys Networks’ outstanding achievements with S&OP, a mission-critical process that has helped the company transform itself into a service leader.  Through real-time data integration Enterasys can monitor supply and demand on a daily basis and respond immediately to demand changes and exceptions.

“Enterasys Networks is honored to be a winner of the seventh annual Progressive Manufacturing Award (PM100). This award validates the Enterasys Supply Chain continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction as we live up to our mantra ‘there is nothing more important than our customers’,” said Jack Lyon, vice president of operations at Enterasys Networks.  “We developed a process and technology infrastructure partnering with Steelwedge to support global collaboration and drive real-time executive level decision making around critical supply and demand trade-offs.   Our S&OP process has helped us build a lean and responsive organization to provide optimal service to our customers.”

“We are pleased that Enterasys Networks has been recognized for its innovative use of Steelwedge technology to support a collaborative S&OP process across its global enterprise,” said Glen Margolis, CEO of Steelwedge.  “This award is strong confirmation that Steelwedge can help leading companies to enhance customer service and profitably manage demand and supply.”
